DIY: onion peel greeting card

Today when I was thinking about our letter of the week “S” creations, related words, materials and so on (in Latvian language), it’s just flipped in my head –
 
onion (sīpols) + heart (sirsniņa) = Valentine’s day greeting card
 
I was so curious how it will look like, that we just changed our day craft plan to this one

Materials
paper or thin cardboard for giftcard
pen
glue stick
yellow onion peel (the regular one)
red onion peel

Instructions
Step 2: choose your gift card size (we choose ½ of A4) and cut the paper

Step 3: draw heart on the paper to know where u will use white onion peel and where red

Step 4: first put a glue on your heart and stick on little red onion peel pieces. Then do the same to the rest of surface with white onion peel.

Step5: dry
